The Nasdaq has a seasonal weakness during the month of September. Be aware that the recent stretched long positions in the Nasdaq could coincide with a strong selling bias from a seasonal perspective, and that could come into force during the month of September.
Over the last 37 years, the Nasdaq 100 has lost value a total percentage of just around 1% in the month of September. Whereas it made gains on average in all the other months, so watch out for any September falls.
Major Trade Risks: Seasonal patterns don’t necessarily repeat themselves each year but nevertheless this is a strong seasonal pattern to at least be aware of.
